The ESCRL – E Stock Car Racing League – is a virtual motorsport league. The league was founded in 2020 and serves the oval online motorsport. It simulates a full season with a racing calendar, a points system and other features. In case of problems, breaches of rules, unsportsmanlike conduct or other violations, the league management can take measures with the persons concerned at any time. Incorrect behaviour can lead to penalties or a league exclusion. We want to create a fair, sportive, good league for everyone.
2.1 – You need to own the Racing Simulation „iRacing“ and the needed content. ESCRL will not provide them to you.
2.2 – To ride in the Top Series, drivers need at least an „iRacing“ A or B license.
2.3 – A good internet connection is also mandatory. The race director can take a driver out of the race if he does not meet this requirement.
2.4 – Drivers agree to be publicly broadcasted with their name.
2.5 – A driver must follow the ESCRL rules
2.6 – A driver always behaves fairly and correctly towards others. Otherwise the league management will take measures
3.1 – The current NASCAR „iRacing“ Cup Models are for selection.
3.2 – The model cannot be changed during the season
4.1 – The number is selected by the driver upon entry into the ESCRL. If this number is assigned, the driver must choose another number.
4.2 – The number cannot be changed during the season.
4.3 – The number design may not be changed during the season.
4.4 – A driver loses his number after more than 6 consecutive missed races.
5.1 – The driver must compete with his real name.
5.2 – The driver agrees to be publicly broadcasted.
5.3 – The driver agrees with the rules of the ESCRL.
5.4 – The driver is responsible for his own car design
5.5 – After a long period of inactivity the league management can remove a driver from the league.
6.1 – The ESCRL makes no warranty for the vehicle designs. Illegal contents were not recognizable at the time of control.
6.2 – Every driver is responsible for his own design.
6.3 – An own design is mandatory.
6.4 – The design must correspond to the template of the ESCRL.
6.5 – The design will be checked by the league management in advance and can be rejected.
6.6 – On race day the registered design has to be chosen otherwise it can result in a penalty.
6.7 – Special designs are possible up to 2x per season, they must be reported to the league management at least 3 days before the race.
6.8 – All design specifications must be in accordance with the ESCRL Painting guide.
7.1 – The server on race day is provided by ESCRL and is password protected.
7.2 – The drivers will receive the password in advance of the race.
7.3 – If the provider „iRacing“ has a blackout and the race is not possible, the league management decides on the further procedure.
7.4 – Every driver has to log in until before the start of the qualifying.
7.5 – The correct car design of the driver is mandatory.
7.6 – In case of misconduct the driver can be excluded from the race by the league management.

8.7 – At the Pacelap before the start please drive up
8.8 – When starting or restarting, acceleration is only allowed at the Green Flag. If a rider accelerates before this point he can be penalized.
8.9 – It is not allowed to block intentionally, the driver can be punished for that.
8.10 – It is ok to drive a fighting line, but it must be obvious that the speed and line is stable.
8.11 – Absolute prohibition for divebombing. If it is not possible to overtake, the driver behind must stop the overtaking attempt.
8.12 – The driver should give the other drivers space and drive fair.
8.13 – When a caution is out, the rider has to step off the throttle and slowly catch up to the field.
8.14 – A crashed vehicle must be towed into the pits in case of severe damage.
8.15 – When entering the Pits under Green the driver must make a clean turn. No abrupt braking on the racing line.
8.16 – In the pit lane, the driver must always drive in the outer lane.
8.17 – A driver who is being lapped must make way for the front runners and let them pass.
8.18 – A driver must always behave correctly and fairly.
8.19 – Negative behaviour of a driver can be punished or even lead to exclusion from the league.
9.1 – A driver can submit a formal protest after the race using a form. The entry is valid until 24 hours after the end of the race.
9.2 – If a protest is received against a driver, he will be informed and can comment on it, but this is not mandatory.
9.3 – The league management analyses the race and distributes the points/warnings/penalties etc. accordingly.
10.1 – The league is based on the NASCAR Point System.
10.2 – The league uses a playoff system. The Playoffs will start in Round 8.
10.3 – A race winner is automatically seeded for the first round of the playoffs
10.4 – A race winner must have driven at least 50 percent of the Regular Season to participate in the playoffs. If this is not fulfilled he loses his playoff place.
10.4 – The number of playoff seeds cannot yet be announced.
10.5 – The playoff system is still being worked out.
10.6 – At the end of the season, the league champion receives the prize announced in advance.
11.1 – The league management has the right to intervene at any time.
11.2 – If a driver does not comply with the values of the ESCRL, the league management has the right to take sanctions at any time.
